DESCRIPTION: EPW - Poljot, Russian deck watch, 22J, 64mm, chrome-plated base metal case, rear with an applied red finish, snap rear and snap cuvette, silvered dial, SW-SS, fully capped lever escapement, anti-magnetic hairspring, fausses-cĂ´tes pattern gilt damascene, s#17890. Includes its original factory three-tier wooden travel box. Made at the First Moscow Watch Factory in Russia. The First Moscow Watch Factory was awarded the Order of Lenin in 1966, the highest honor of the country, for its accomplishments in the development of the Russian watch industry, among its accomplishments being the production of the Sturmanskie watch which was the first watch ever worn in space by cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin.
CONDITION: Mvt: Running, virtually mint cosmetic movement condition overall; flawless dial; mint hands; original case shows hardly any wear, still retaining the original red finish to rear which has turned to a purple-pink tone and has only some small bits of loss at perimeter, some marks caused by past openings of the very tight case with a blade or tool, no dents or dings; bow pivots freely, crown shows hardly any wear; good glass crystal; box in nearly mint condition showing hardly any wear.
